I enjoy and appreciate life. I'm very dependable! I've never had a job, that I've enjoyed, as much as working with the elderly. I do enjoy working with early to mid dementia clients. Two things drew my to being a caregiver. 1) my kids grew up too fast! I never stopped feeling the need to take care of someone. 2) I was VERY close to my g'mother, and she was the youngest of 9. So I've always felt comfortable around elderly. And putting a smile on their face or seeing a sigh of relief, because I handled a situation, that they couldn't.... I always tell my families...I am their voice. I always have their back, in what will benefit them. My first goal is to build their trust. Because without it...the road can get a little bumpy.
