What inspired me to become a caregiver was helping a family member with dementia and cancer. At that time I started to realize the need for high quality caregivers, and the gap that currently exists in extended care options for the senior population. After completing a full business career, I have now dedicated myself to the care giving vocation in order to help close this gap for high quality support. I have extensive first hand knowledge, as well as professional training, that I can share with clients and their families who are experiencing what I have already gone through. In this respect I can offer many more resources and skills to raise the level of support being offered.

I have been a Medical Assistant for a little over 14 years 8 years in Pediatrics, 2 years in Gynecology and Urogynecology and a few months in Urgent care. With a Certificate in Clinical Phlebotomy. I'm fluent in Spanish.. I am 42yrs old and I graduated with my Associates Degree in Spanish. I am a proud mother of 2 wonderful boys 17and 14 I have an insulin dependent Diabetic father who has recently had to come to terms with not being able to care for himself or do the things he use to so I can understand how difficult this process can be. I have a nephew who battled Leukemia at age 9 for 7 yrs. and is cancer free this year. I helped monitor him with his IVIG in home treatments, drove him to appointments in Oakland, drove him to his weekly blood draws at the lab, and assisted with medications. I am a patient hard working person with attention to detail. I enjoy building relationships with my patients and going above and beyond the scope of my job duties. I became a Caregiver because I want to make a difference in the lives of people even if it's in the smallest ways. I genuinely care about each and every one of my patients as if they were my family. I am a good listener, great at multitasking, and like to be prepared and organized. I love my job and feel that my life experiences have made me a compassionate and empathetic person.
