I have a history in the healthcare industry, and in my early 20's I worked as a home health aide - a position that built relationships that I maintained following the assignments. I took care of a woman with Guillain-Barre until she was rehabbed. Later, when I gave birth to my twins, she came and visited. Psychology is my wheelhouse and I am especially useful in this area as a companion and counselor. I helped a young man through the depression he experienced during his recovery from testicular cancer. I became close with his family and we maintained correspondence for a while following that assignment. My daughters (age 23) and I are extremely close and share open communication. They are my pride and joy. One is an electrical engineer and the other is currently in grad school to work in higher education but their capacity for compassion and empathy as young women is what makes me the most proud. They have an emotional maturity beyond their years.
