About me I am a certified (PCA)I feel I would be a good asset to the caregiving team professionally because I have 5+yrs experience as a private caregiver & I am a good dedicated trusting hard worker what attracted me to caregiving is that I love working with the elderly give them hope and dreams of continuing life I love to bring smiles to other people faces because tomorrow is not promised to no one what I enjoy most about caregiving is that I get to meet other people I get to bring smiles and happiness and comfortability to others lives to the best of my ability that's a personal well achieved process that makes me proud to be a Caregiver .
My passion is taking care of the elderly, I love the conversation that they give I love the things that I learn when I meet different people. I as a young women knows that one day it's gonna be my turn soon, and I'll need some help and I just hope that I find someone as good as I am. I have CPR , First Aid Training, I was a CNA back in 2003 I transitioned to HHA. I have been taking care of Elderly's for over 11yrs
what helps me be a great caregiver is getting to know my client and build an relationship with them I look at all my clients as if they were related to me in some sort of way and I treat them how I would treat my mom, grandma, father grandfather etc..... Wat made me want to become a caregiver is that my parents are getting older and soon won't be able to do a lot of the things they are use to doing so I wanted to get in the health field so I can help them when they need me to help them I will know wat to do for the conditions they will have..... I like waking up in the morning knowing I'm going to care for somebody that need me and trust me with helping them with there everyday routine such as eating bathing and cleaning up there area......
I worked for 1. 5 years in a nursing facility as a certified nursing assistant helping our elderly with all aspects of their activities of daily living. I also worked as a mental health therapy aide at the Buffalo psychiatric center for 10 years and took care of my mom the last year of her life. I am very personable and caring. I treat people the way I would like to be treated. I love the Bills and Sabres and like to do crossword puzzles. One of my biggest assets is my ability to put my self into others shoes.
Since 2009 I have been a in home care aide, CNA at several nursing homes and a PCA in the hospital where I drew blood and did daily care for patients. So for over 10 years I've seen and took care of many Elderly people and it is always been a great passion of mine to take care of people who need help being took care of. And I'm actually very good at it I treat everyone as if they were a family member of mine
I've care 3 clients for 7 years now. Currently, I'm taking care of a 84-year-old lady on Saturday and Sunday only. And just recently, I've cared a hospice patient. I love working with the elderly. I love my clients they become a family to me. I do housekeeping, laundry, cooking and I'm okay with pets.
I have been in the home care for over 5 yrs, have taken care of people from ages newborn to 90s. I took care of my mom for the last year of her life as she had cancer and I did everything for her from cleaning, feeding tubes to shots. I also took care of a man (62) who had Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and changed diapers, took to appointments and did overnights. My other woman was an 89 years old who needed help in dressing and feeding. I am still friends with all my clients and have references. I work through a placement agency which would give me a great reference.
I worked with developmentally disabled individuals for 23 years before going back to school to finish a teaching degree. I am looking at retirement from teaching, this July, and would like to return to caring for people again involving home care situations. I am also looking for available opportunities that I can fulfill at this time. I feel my personal achievement is that in my 40's I went back to school and continued caring for people at a different level, such as student needs. I presently teach first grade. My experience in both employment situations had rewards that only one can experience by participating in both environments. Educationally, physically and emotionally I was able to create environments that allowed needs to be met in comfortable atmospheres, while enjoying those I worked with. Also cared for a woman with Alzheimer's disease upon request of the family. I simply enjoy working with all people.
Hello, Im Christina, I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate and have a very good amount of patience. I understand what most people are going through and have the ability to be very sympathetic towards each individual and their own unique situation. Everyone needs a little assistance every now and then and helping others in something I take pride in. I treat my clients with much respect and make sure they are happy and comfortable. It makes me feel better about myself knowing that I can help make someone's life a little easier and put a smile on their face.
