I believe that I am a great caregiver because I have a big heart and a great passion caring for others. I took care of both my grandparents when they were sick and unable to care for themselves. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and couldn't do anything on her own, I bathed her, feed her, dressed her and most all I was just there to talk and keep her company. My grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer which went to his brain so he became very confused incontinent where some people just didn't understand that it wasn't his fault and couldn't help himself. I knew someone needed to help him so I took care of him. Sometimes family members of a sick person just cant handle caring for their loved ones, it may be too difficult to see them in that condition, or they simply just cant be bothered. Caring for others that are sick is not something every individual can do, it takes a special someone to do those duties. It makes me feel good to know that I can help someone in need.
