My mother who became ill was in need of care for approximately a year before passing. I was not able to be with her as much as I had wished. However, the time spent with her was very rewarding, satisfying in that I was able to assist with her needs. Since then I have worked as a caregiver for the last 7 years. I very much enjoy interacting with my clients in efforts to make their lives more comfortable. It provides me with a sense of pride/accomplishment. Although I do not have any specific personal achievements, I am proud of my daily efforts, that extra care I give to my clients. I often times have gone out of my way for my clients. I have worked one on one as well as in group settings. I have experience in dementia and alzheimers patients. I have worked in facilities in independent care and skilled nursing. I have always had the drive to do what I set out to do correctly. I know I could be a valuable asset in most any situation.
