I love the elderly; I have been working with the elderly for over twenty years. At present, I took care of my elderly friend who has problem with mobility, helping her to shop, taking her to place etc. I took a Thai massage course; I give my elderly friend massage on a regular basis. I cook for my elderly husband and help with his hygiene. I used to work with PCA, serving the elderly and their families. I enjoy serving the elderly because they deserve a good life and happiness and their family need to enjoy life also. I receive joy and fulfillment by serving others.

I had been working with PCA for 15 years. At present, I am retired.. As an assessment worker; I visited an elderly on a regular basis to assess them, regarding their health condition.-- If they qualify for help , I discuss with the consumer and family regarding programs which appropriate for them. When I return to the office my written report will be referred to Long term care assess Department at PCA (after my supervisor approval). Then the Consumer will receive services accordingly. I love working with the elderly. They deserve the help that they need. And their family needs a break from caring for their love ones. Though I am retired, I still want to serve the elderly. I am still healthy and want to use my experience working with the elderly to help someone. I also received a certification in Assessment Worker training.

I provided care for two mentally challenge ladies, helping them with their bathing, dressing, grooming. One lady using a walker with seat. I supervised the lady to transfer safely from her bed to use the walker etc. I set up meals for them and making sure that they ate properly, no choking etc. More important I talk to them, communicating with them , for the purpose that they felt that I care for them very much.
