I am my mother's caregiver - she suffers from dementia. I have a full time job, and she has an aide during the days- but when I get home, I become her caregiver until the next day. It gives me pleasure to work with her because she appreciates every task that I do for her no matter how simple. I also work part time at a home for the developmentally challenged. These are young adults who need help to perform their daily living activities. I also enjoy working with them because even though they have challenges - they are so loving, friendly and appreciative - always saying thanks for whatever is done for them.
