I am an educated woman with a medical background, able to take care of the elderly, sick or disabled. I am a responsible, caring, patient and dedicated person. I have 17 years of experience, including working in a elderly people's home and in a nursing home. My previous experience includes being: Companion to healthy, elderly people, and Handling the sick and disabled with Alzheimer's and dementia. Some of the medical conditions I worked with: Alzheimer's disease, dementia, depression, heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, knee replacement, hip fracture, caring for the bedridden, apraxia/ aphasia, COPD, just to mention a few. Able to take care of special medical conditions or special needs (e.g. wheelchair, Hoyer lift, Foley catheter, bedsores, etc.), as well as special diets (for e.g. diabetes).
