I became a caregiver because one day as I was walking in Manhattan, I saw an elderly man was crossing the road, he needed help crossing because the traffic was too much for him to cross by himself so I took the opportunity in helping him to cross the road, it was then that I realized, I can take up this as a professional and that is when I became a HHA/caregiver. In 2008 .Being a caregiver is about having patience , something you can do for someone who is in need of assistance, its a blessing when caring for elderly. I am very responsible , flexible , reliable ,charming, hard working and a loving person. I am a honest worker, with a good sense a humor. With a good personality.I also work in hospital, nursing home, and the Bristol Assistant Living home. Some clients became my best friends ,even if I not working for some of them ,I still call up them to see if everything is alright with them . and they will love to hear my voice because the they were getting from me. I care for all kind of patients both Males / Females. Dementia, cancer patient, hospice, Alzheimer's, I love all my client to the moon and back, I assisted with Therapy, give Exercise daily. I provide manicure and pedicure, I love to dress and I love to dress my clients up and make them super beautiful like they are in they 21 yrs again..I am a good hygiene person and I like to keep my client in good hygiene and healthy. I provide all ADL, including light house keeping, reminds of meds, cooking arrands ,doctors appointments. etc. I like to play games. I'm a great caregiver because I'm a very passionate person, I love to help people and making them feel comfortable knowing that there's someone that's care for them. The most important part of being a caregiver to me is the patients comfort and always seeing a smile on my patients face and knowing that I put that smile there. I became a caregiver because it's my natural instincts to care for people I just love doing it, I call it my weakness. One of my personal achievement I'm most proud of was getting into nursing school, it's a step closer to me getting to care more and taking care of people.
