I cared for my Mom in my home. She suffered from Dementia, requiring Oxygen+ Respiratory treatment. Thru my experience I know the fears, stressors + anxieties in finding a caregiver who will allow your loved one to feel safe + understood. This is the reason I do this work today. I have 15 yrs. + experience in caregiving on all levels, as Companion to bed ridden requiring a Hoyer lift + having to be washed + fed in bed. I still have relationships with the family's whose loved ones I cared for. I attend trainings, seminars regularly. I have CERTIFICATION from the Caringkind/Alzheimers foundation as a Dementia caregiver. (45 hrs. training). I enjoy my work in helping out + caring when needed. I have a knowledge of music + events that Seniors in particular are interested in. I find it easy to talk to people on all levels easily. I grew up in NYC, I have traveled extensively in + out of the U.S. I have family located thru out the country...Before I was a Caregiver I worked in the Fashion/Real estate industries.
