Hello all! Having 10 years of first hand experience, I was the sole caregiver for my mother, providing understanding, compassionate, caring. environment. I enjoyed keeping her involved in daily activities, keeping the routine, involving her with everyday small daily chores, keeping her focused, activities, daily walks, outings and planning small gatherings with friends. Seniors become lost when living on their own, and need someone to keep routine. They forget to eat and to take their meds. This is very confusing and they need guidance. Understanding these difficulties, there's a need for guidance which is essential to their well being. Mom was very independent when she moved in with my family. She later needed the assistance of a walker, a wheelchair, and then was bed ridden. Mom lost her independence, and I provided everything she needed. Having experience with safety involved stability, walker, & wheelchair assistance. My duties will include arranging doctor appointments, medication administration reminders, preparing healthy meals, light housekeeping, hygiene, daily routine help and arranging small gatherings with friends. Also, I have had experience with senior dementia, which my mother-in-law suffered from for many years. I have taken her in for weeks at a time. I am looking for a senior care position. I am compassionate thoughtful patient respectable caregiver and take my job seriously. Thank you in advance for this opportunity.
