About Rachel

I became a caregiver after finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I worked in a nursing home for veterans while completing an internship my senior year and fell in love with it. I worked as a caregiver after college. I spent a month overseas in Vietnam in 2013, and I really enjoyed working with elderly while I was there. I love the challenge of getting to know a client and their lifestyle, and the variety of personalities you encounter. The bond formed between caregiver and client is one of the most rewarding parts of the job, and it makes you want to stay in the field. I am proud of the fact that I am expanding the population I work with at a young age. I currently work with children with disabilities, as well as having my experience with elderly care. I look forward to working in the community with older adults in the future.
