I am a Certified Home Health Aid. I became a caregiver because I especially enjoy working with the elderly. I personally cared for both of my parents when they were elderly and became ill. This experience gave me an appreciation for the challenges that the elderly face as they try to maintain a as high a quality of life as possible while living at home. One of my most memorable achievements as a caregiver was taking care of a 94 year old man who I was able to support emotionally and physically such that he was able to continue going out and meeting with friends and family. He reinforced in me the importance of a positive attitude and never giving up. I have a degree in the healthcare field and my hobbies and interests include bird watching, music, writing, computers, photography, reading, gardening, and nature walks. I am looking for a part-time or full time position [M-F]as a Home Health Aid and companion.
