I starting being a direct support person for the developmentally disabled in 2012. I really enjoyed giving excellent care to others. I worked for a well known agency on Long Island for almost a year providing care for adolescent to elderly developmentally disabled patients. I also have taken care of my elderly father for years. I have the gift of patience and I enjoy being nurturing. I also often take care of my godchildren. A personal achievement that I am proud of was going back to school, and working towards achieving my goals. I really am a people person and my favorite hobby is cooking healthy foods.
