Hello, my name is Bendetta but most people call me "B". I am very outgoing and my hobbies are singing and gardening. I have been in the field of helping people for 23 years with my current employment plus as a caregiver for about 10 years from working in nursing homes, working with the DD population, and in-home care. I have a passion for working with the elderly because they are the ones who are sometimes forgotten. I enjoy seeing them smile or getting them to do things that they haven't done in a while to help keep their independence and to help give them a better quality of life. My biggest achievement was working with a client and helping him get off oxygen. The problem was he really didn't need to be on oxygen 24/7 but thought he did. I worked him to get him to walk more and daily exercise to help build his oxygen level, which was checked three times a day. To see the expression on his face when he was told his oxygen level was maintaining at 97 was priceless. We were able to then do the one thing he loved to do and that was going fishing.
