I am an ambitious, self-starter. As a single mother of two, I sought out a career that would offer longevity with flexibility, yet be present for my children's sports, attend appointments & do other activities. Being a caregiver, is no longer my J-O-B, it's became my passion. Where I find fulfillment in discovering details about my clients, and then strive to help them achieve some additional goals, not just complete the assigned requested duties listed on their profile. In addition to building relationships that feel more like a "family" connection. My passion is in helping others, and I appreciate the opportunities I've been giving through the array of people I've served, including working with a blind, wheelchair bound individual, a quadriplegic, senior citizens, and now certified as an Independent Provider through the State of a Ohio to care for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. My career has taken me from in-home private care, to working through agencies, holding management positions & most recently starting my own business. I think what I love most about being a caregiver is getting to know the individuals I'm working with, creating those friendships, and discovering ways to make our time together more meaningful. This job has been hard, it can be challenging, yet fun & enjoyable at the same time. I've experienced death & loss of clients I hold very dear. Those times become very difficult, yet my heart nudges me to go on; and that I've come to do. My journey as a caregiver allows me to offer purpose, and hopefully a sense of comfort to the individuals I serve in knowing they have someone there to assist them in areas they no longer have full capability in doing on their own.
