I have worked professionally as a care giver for 25 years. I'm a skilled home health aide

Even as a little girl I have always enjoyed helping people any way I could. I have always been drawn to the medical field in some way. I started as a PCA helping with medications, insulin, wound care, some personal care. I then became a CNA and have worked with many wonderful people. From helping with basic care needs, to being someone they could share company with. To full care needs. Dressing, dinning, bathing, physical therapy, helping transfer from sitting ro standing. Wheelchair to bed. I love being able to make someone smile in anyway I can.

I started my caregiver journey at 16 years old because of my passion to help others. Nearly 30 years later, my journey continues. My skillset includes PT, OT, and ADL Assistance, Medication Administration/reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship. I work well with Dementia/Alzheimer's inflicted consumers. I have been certified as a CNA, PCA, and Med Tech. I was also the Site Coordinator of Mercer County for Guardian Home Specialties.

I am a natural caregiver as caring for others is what my purpose in life is. I care deeply for those around me and strive to encourage others to maintain a sense of independence through empowerment. I love being able to help and have been working with L'Arche as a caregiver for 12 years now. My favorite aspects of being a caregiver are around meals and hospitality. I like setting up a warm, welcoming space and making a delicious and healthy meal for others. I have two children that I love sharing my life with at the moment and am thrilled to be the one at home with them. I am very spiritual and like to find the gifts of those around me and nourish them. I love to read, sing, and play games (word games especially), but mostly I love really taking the time to listen to someone and get to know him/her well.

I started caring for people since before I even could understand what it was. My little sister is severely autistic. I would help her with her activities of daily living everyday. When I got out of high school in 2010 I started working as an STNA in Ohio. I have worked in multiple nursing homes, home care agencies, group homes, and day programs. I can't say I have seen it all but I have seen a lot. I learn something new everyday and I love to learn. I have alot of experience from alzeimers and dementia to schizophrenia. Being a care giver gives me a great deal of purpose. Helping people gives me a sense of joy. One personal achievement I have made by myself would be starting as a care giver in a group home and got promoted to a site supervisor.

I work in the hospital in Thailand for 32 years. My job is. Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing. Provides glassware by ordering, receiving, and inventorying glassware. Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. I am a very passionate, carrying and giving individual. I love being able to help others and making a difference in their lives. I am an honest person, always respectful of others.
