I believe the best caregivers are those who take the time to listen, encourage, and understand what those they care for are facing. I love developing relationships and friendships with those I care for and find that finding joy in the little moments is what makes caregiving special. My grandmother was my heart and soul I got into the healthcare industry because of her she became ill diabetic I lost her in 2007 but hasn't been the same without her I get my passionate love for my clients from her I'm always the one trying to find new things to learn and to help people I have a big heart I love hearing stories of couples been together for 60 years Love hearing war stories etc. I enjoy knowing that my clients are safe and loved I am all about respect I've learned a lot over the years a lot of people don't have no one and someone like myself may be the only visitor that they might get I take pride in what I do and I love it I am very proud of who I am today comes pure genuine love for what I do I take a vantage of life as much as I can I love my family I love to travel it's never too late to learn new things

I became a caregiver back in 2009, after losing my job of 20 years, do to the economy. I'm a caring and compassionate person who will treat your family member as if they were my own. Before I thought that I was a really patient person because I used to take care of my love ones,friends, neighbors,etc even when they've shown bad actitudes or behaviors or situations that you really need to understand , love , and accepts and be able to just offer them your help. But I realized that is not just patience what i need , is also compassion, and consciousness that we all need each other's as a human being. I think this is the most important part for being a great caregiver . When I discovered that ,I deside to become a caregiver ,and I love to be part of all this wonderful ladies, and gentlemen life's that I have been able to work with. I feel so blessed after so many years helping getting all the knowledges ,wisdom ,kindness,and so much love ,etc from them. I moved in from California six years ago and I still feel heartbreaking from my clients that I left back there but I have been in touch with all of them and that make me feel better, I have some references from all my clients and the agencies that I've been working with from California and now from my clients here in Shoreline,Seattle and Edmonds area that I've had the privilege to work with. I am 20 years old. I have been an STNA since i have been a junior (2016). I have worked in the health care field for 3/4 years now. I have done home health care, nursing homes , & assisted living. I absolutely love my job. I have worked in the nursing home with respiratory, dementia, all different kinds.

My name is samantha i go by sam i am 31 years young and i have experience in home care and in an assisted living home including dementia certification, trach and vent training, ability to use a hoyer lift, bathing, cooking, cleaning, sponge bath, turning, ive even put a catheter in before, med dispense, also amongst other things. I used to care for mother untill she passed away she had ALS i watched her through every stage and by the end of it she was vent dependent. I enjoy working in home care because it feels good to help others and use my knowledge for good. I have my own vehicle and i already work a full time job as a resident assistant in an assisted living facility.I am currently looking for something part time.
