Currently I work in a home that provides 24-hour In-Home Senior Care for 5 residents. The residents suffer from varying degrees of Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Parkinson’s. My title is House Manager which means I am responsible for all aspects of keeping the house running. I am a working House Manager, which means I am involved in assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing companionship, housekeeping, meal prep, feeding, medication reminders, dressing, toileting, grooming, and bathing. I also plan and execute life enrichment activities, preform memory care exercises, and arrange special events for the residents. On the management side, I set up care plans, prepare the weekly menu, do the administration of medication reminders, keep state paperwork (State Books), do record keeping and filing, keep inventory, Schedule Staff, preform yearly Reviews and Discipline Forms, train New Employees, I serve as an Advocate for communication with family’s, Doctor’s, Hospice, and medical teams. I provide customer service to the families by keeping them up to date and listening to their concerns.
