I have always had a passion for caring about other people. My experience at Wesley Ridge helped to further motivate my want to care for my grandfather-- especially since his condition worsened. I think the most attractive thing about caregiving is the satisfaction that you know you are helping another human being with daily activities in life. I also find a high satisfaction in cleanliness and the sense of completing tasks. A personal achievement for me would probably be the time I got my grandfather to eat food for the first time after being hospitalized for Covid-19. He refused to eat, but I sat with him and offered him an ice cream bar, and he took a few bites. He is gradually improving and I'm proud to say that I was able to assist him in that.
