Create a warm environment in the clients home, providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household necessities. Preparing and serving meals and snacks. Assists resident with personal services, such as, bathing, dressing and grooming. Records client information by making entries in the client journal; notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Transport and accompany client to doctors appointments or hospital. Administer medication, monitor clients vital signs(temperature, respirations, pulse and blood pressure) and report on their condition. Assist clients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises. Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.

Regular correspondence with resident LPN regarding patient behavior, medication refills, medication concerns/changes. Handle medical emergencies in an appropriate manner (stroke, heartattack, death) Create a warm and friendly environment for residents and their families.
