I am a 42 year old Personal Caregiver with 5+ years experience. I have worked for men and women, total bed bound, dementia, stroke, etc. Duties I've been accustomed to consist of peri care, bathing, other personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry and respite. I have also transported patients on occasion to doctors appointments, errands, hair salons, picked up medications and shopping. I believe in the respect and care to be given as if the patient were my own parent. I enjoy being able to be there for the patient and preserving dignity. The companionship and friendship built is just a bonus to yhe position.
