I am originally from Wichita, KS. My Dad moved the family to California when I was 10 years old. After graduating from High School, I moved back to Wichita, KS and wanted to be a Nurse. I decided to take a CNA class to see if that is the kind of work I would be happy doing. I worked for 3 1/2 years. I loved taking care of all the patients. I got married and we moved to California. I was a stay at home Mom. I divorced and moved to Oklahoma 10 years ago. I worked for several different companies in OKC as a 24 hour live-in Caregiver. I have also done a several Private Positions as well. I love cooking and cleaning and helping Seniors to feel comfortable in their homes. As an active Senior myself, I know the needs of other Seniors. I would like to work 3 to 4 days a week. I will always be available for emergencies as I know they happen. I am dependable and responsible. I am willing to work 24 hour periods if requested. I am considering moving to Chickasha and I don't mind doing some traveling. With 20 miles or less would be fine with me. I am from California and that is normal for me. I need to be active and this is the best way to do it, by helping others. I am a Christian and go to Services on Sunday and Wednesday. I would love the opportunity to take care of your loved one! Thank you for your interest.

I assisted a family member who has total paralysis. The patient couldn't speak or move. I had to be her mouth to expect certain care that she needed. I would assist the Nurses with many duties as it seems hospitals are always short handed. I helped change her gown, wash her face, comb her hair, change pillowcases and sheets, many personal type services as needed. And of course the most important, call the Nurse when needed.

The daughter would go out of State for one to two weeks at a time. I had full responsibility of cooking, cleaning and care of my client. She was 99 years old when I started and 102 when I finished my duties with her. Duties included: Managing her medicines, cooking, cleaning, walking her, taking her for rides in her wheelchair as directed from daughter. making her bed, washing clothes, assisted her with personal duties and anything else that needed done. My client and I would talk about the days when she was young which kept her awake and laughing about those childhood days.
