I became a caregiver when my own grandmother reached age 92 and could no longer care for herself. I took her into my home and became her caretaker for 3 years. I bathed her, cooked for her and cleaned her clothes. We often went out for outings and enjoyed one another. After she passed away, I established a nonprofit organization where I began caring for elderly clients. I love being a caregiver because I love elderly people and will always be there to take care of them with patience and understanding. I am proud that I was able to take care of my grandmother and my elderly 81 year old client until their demise.
