I put my all in providing care for others. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, dependable, and trustworthy. After I was Honorably discharged from the Military, my best friend who was in the Marine Corps with me, was diagnosed with ALS. Spending time with his family and caretakers gave me a new found prospective on what I wanted to do as a career. They exemplified all of the personality traits that I've mentioned above and that's what I saw in myself. I enjoy making a difference in people's lives. The gratification from this is rewarding. Caring for 24 Individuals with various physical and mental health disabilities and being a role model, caregiver, big brother, and their Residential Director for 7 years. I am very proud to have served them and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR DUTIES Oversee Administrative, Consumer, Residential, and Case Management services for Tallapoosa County Group Home. Ensure that medications are properly administered, consumer expenditures are accounted for, and policies/procedures are complied with. Supervise staff to ensure a positive work environment, create staff schedules, and accommodate staffing holes as needed. Create a positive living experience for residents (and families during visitation). Plan and coordinate program activities and community outings. Ensure compliance with State and Federal standards and applicable laws. RELIEF PARAPROFESSIONAL DUTIES Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for persons with mental health disabilities. Thoroughly document behaviors, noting any significant changes due to medication adjustments, and/or physical and social stressors. Therapeutically de-escalate individuals during crisis situations, utilizing the Professional Crisis Management 2 (PCM2) technique. Assist with ADLs, meal preparation, medication administration (MACII Certified), and overall cleaning duties.
