About Amber

Hi! I am a married mom and have two beautiful boys! I have been a caregiver most of my adult life including work and at home with my disabled mom! I really get a lot of satisfaction out of being able to be there to help others. I have worked in various caregiving environments as being a housekeeper and light meal prep to working with complete disabilities such as ALS and quadriplegics. I like to think I know a lot about the basic fundementals of caregiving but each situation is unique and different and there is always something new to learn or discover. My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.
