About he

My decision to work in healthcare has been a life long desire. There is no other career out there that not only is fulfilling personally, but also one in which I leave a legacy in each life I touch. Being a very active, healthy person in our community. I find it easy working along side others and in situations when others are finding themselves struggling i am often able to calmly find resolve. I thrive in complex care as I have acquired a multitude of skills and knowledge medically from some of our regions top surgeons and nurses. I am a worker, meaning I will not find any excuse to sit and do nothing. I remain detailed oriented no matter how long I am on a job. My friends often describe me as a very dependable, independent, strong, honest and loyal person as well as previous employers. The things you can learn simply by stopping to listen to a person you are working with is absolutely rewarding and also at the end of the day knowing you helped make their life a bit easier and a little less scary. One of my biggest achievements was when I got stopped in the halls at Legacy by a charge nurse who just wanted to let me know they had just finished an all staff meeting and quite a few nurses and Dr's were very impressed with my skill level. In that moment I knew i was on the right path doing the right thing the right way for the right reasons. That and at 40 I can still do a back flip. I do have a great sense of humor.

Hello all, I am a 35 and expecting my first child in March 2018. I have been a foster parent for 6 years. I've fostered infants, school age children, and teenagers. I am currently engaged to my high school sweetheart whom I've been in a relationship with for over 17 years. I am a very warm hearted and lovable person who often thinks of others before myself. At the age of 8 my mother passed. My father was a musician who played on the road. I lived between my two grandparents home. I helped my grandparents with their daily needs such as transportation to and from appointments and grocery shopping. This attracted me to being a caregiver. I had gained skills from them with medication taking, paying bills, hygiene assistance, daily living, and companionship. I cooked daily and meal prepped. As my grandparents got older and lost most of their mobility and decision making I became the spokesperson for them. I enjoy being a person that someone can count on and call when needed. I am ear to listen and eyes to see. I have an old sole and love when others are happy and full of life. I am proud that I can be someone that someone else can call on when needed. I'm always willing to give and learn more. I became a care provider in 2007. I have worked for a treatment center servings women and their children. Some of my skills iinclude: Attention to personal care, medication administration and monorting, meal prep and showing my client how to cook meals and choose healthier foods, assisted with scheduling appointments and transportation , helped client maintain general household cleaning and laundry. I am certified with the State of Oregon #640215. Independent NW #575139-787877. Disability Care. Food handlers #2017o1941196 Due to the lack of childcare for my foster child I am limited the hours I'd like to help you. I am available between the hours of 5am until 1pm and 7pm until 7am. Thank you for your interest in me as a caregiver.

I enjoy caregiving as a profession. I am mindful of the client's safety, ADLs & happy to assist. I enjoy keeping a tidy household, cooking meals and going on outings, walking or driving. Dependability and reliability are important to me. I am patient and flexible. If a care plan is in place I have experience following and guiding the client in a positive manner. I have been a caregiver all my life, with my parents (whom have both transitioned), my grown children & clients. It comes natural for me & I am often taking on line courses to advance my knowledge. Please feel free to call me with any questions! I look foward to meeting you. Thank you, Jamie
