I believe that I am an outgoing person. Although I might be shy the first time we meet, I love making personal connections with my clients and learning about them and their lives. My grandmother is a caregiver. I worked for her for a while until she could find more help. From then I realized that I really enjoyed helping my clients. They had so much life and many stories to share with me. They became a big part of my life. I am very thankful for the experience I shared with my clients. I personally enjoy all that comes with being a caregiver. But if I had to pick it would be meeting and connecting with the clients. It's the days when there is no longer nervousness but the excitement in the air to come to work. A personal achievement would be learning sign language for a client. But the twist was that he spoke 'different' sign language. He sort of combined his version of sign language with the common one. It was hard to learn but I felt bad not being able to communicate with him. I chose to adopt something that was personal to him because I didn't want him to feel left out and to this day that is something that I am proud of.
