I believe I am a great caregiver because of my absolute dedication to the seniors i serve and their families. I find working with the senior population to be absolutely the best career choice as well as the most rewarding. I never thought I was cut out for this line of work, I originally said I wanted to be a Labor and Delivery RN. But 11 years ago I needed a job and there was an open spot so I decided that I needed to at least try out this field and it was the best decision I ever made!! I have done caregiving, medication aide and my past role was as a memory care administrator. Being a caregiver brought out the best in me, and now I can't imagine what life would be like without all the very special seniors that I have been so honored to work with.

My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.
