1) Answer incoming telephone calls; referring calls as necessary. 2) Responsible for taking messages; paging doctors when appropriate handling hospital consults answering inquiries. 3) Schedule appointments with doctors; calling patients to remind & confirm appointments; rescheduling patients from the bump list scheduling residents clinics where appropriate. 4) Prepare charts for the next day; creating new patient charts; files and pulling charts; checking charts for referrals authorization prior to visit; preparing charge tickets. 5) Greet patients in a courteous manner; marking off names as patients arrive notifying nurses / medical assistants / mds of arrivals. 6) Register old and new patients; verifying demographics collecting money. 7) Check - in and out - patients; obtaining writing referrals. 8) Take vital signs like height; weight; temperature blood pressure. 9) Draw blood give injections under the immediate supervision of a physician or rn. 10) Chaperon when appropriate; assisting during certain minor surgeries diagnostic procedures. 11) Maintain clean; well-equipped examination rooms; cleaning sterilizing instruments. 12) Stock examination rooms and triage area with medical supplies; inventories reorders supplies

• Assist clients in their activities of daily living such as toileting, bathing and grooming. • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. • Make beds on daily basis and change linen as often as required. • Engage clients in physical and mental exercises prescribed by their doctors. • Escort clients on appointments with hair dressers and physical therapists. • Provide companionship on a daily basis by lending an ear or a shoulder to lean on. • Engage wards in outdoor activities such as walking and light sports. • Prepare food or oversee the preparation of food to ensure that hygiene standards are met and that doctors’ orders are being followed. • Manage laundry and ironing activities. • Run errands including grocery shopping, bills payment and mail handling. • Maintain a safe and clean environment • Arrange medicines to be taken on schedule by providing appropriate reminders or administering medication only upon doctor’s orders. • Observe for signs of deterioration or concern and report them to the family or doctor on immediate basis. • Maintain record of activities, behavior and symptoms for reference purposes.
