Greetings, I've discovered that regardless of someones health condition or disability everyone deserves to have a good quality life and to be happy, thats way I became a "Compassionate Caregiver" it is so important to provide compassionate care to thoughes that need caring for. One of my good friends was in a car accident that left him as a Quadriplegic, now being such a young man, he became very depress with life and I had a problem with that so I decided to learn how to care for him and I did just that. I started by being Trained by the Healthcare facility free of charge were he lived. I started class room and hands on training for eight weeks and I had taken a CPR course. I did this so my friend could have a quality life. I also taken a course on how to transfer Quadriplegic patients so that I could transfer him the correct way from his wheel chair to my car and from the car to his wheelchair and back into the facility were he was living, that alowed us to go places, Dr appointments and places he liked going to. Then he stoprd looking at his self deficiencies but instead, he started loving life once again and loving people and we made the best of things. So he begin enjoying are times together once again just like old times and thats how I became a Home Healthcare Provider.

What makes a great caregiver is someone who understands what is the true meaning of a caregiver. To be cared for, an example is meeting a humans basic need. The need for attention, appreciation, affection and love. We are beings and we are social beings who crave a connection with others! I became a caregiver simply because it comes naturally for me, and I am fulfilling my life's purpose. I like being needed and also to give so it pleases me to care for others. My personal achievements over the years have been to become a nurse and I have worked as a C.N.A. For 15 years at the hospitals to gain experience in the many different fields of nursing. I have enjoyed the journey and have gained confidence in my abilities to be an exceptional caretaker!
