My initial pull to caregiving was because of the schedule flexibility- being a single mother means I need to ensure that his needs are being met. It wasn't hard to fall in love with a job where the main goal is helping others lead a more fulfilling life, while providing relief and time for self care for families. I have studied physiology, neurology and brain functions fairly extensively- I don't have a degree but I have the knowledge and use that to help provide the best care possible. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to raise my son and watch him flourish into an understanding and empathetic young human.
