Hello! My name is Samantha, and I am a recent Child and Family Studies major from Portland State University. I began caregiving in September because I wanted to gain more knowledge and experience working with elderly individuals. During my time as a caregiver, I have gained skills in assisting preforming ADLs, housekeeping, catheter care, transfers, ambulation, and turning and repositioning, and have worked with individuals who experience dementia, who have disabilities, and who are on hospice. I also preform housekeeping duties and services such as hands on feeding and assisting with oral hygiene. I love caregiving because it gives me the chance to work in a healthcare setting while providing clients services from the comfort of their own homes. My goal is to begin CNA classes in April, and to eventually go to nursing school. I am currently CPR certified. I look forward to working with you or your family member in the future!
