My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer when I was 18 and I took care of her for two years, I know that I made her last two years on this world so much easier and I knew that taking care of people is something that I am meant to do. Once she passed I started working in memory care units working with residents who have alzheimer's and dementia as a caregiver and a med tech and my love for caring for others grew immensely. I did that for about five years and felt that I wanted to try in home care so I can spend more one on one time with people, so I started taking care of a c1 quadriplegic man on a ventilator and absolutely loved it. He was the sweetest man and we had so much fun! We went out and created so many fun memories. After working with him for a year and a half I started caring for a 92 year old woman with Parkinsons, sadly her family decided that she would be better off in a facility so I am on the hunt looking for someone else to care for!
