I've always been a very empathetic person. Before I started this job, I spent about a year caring for my grandma in our home and they was my first "job" as a caregiver. I was told I was very kind and caring and great at what I knew how to do, and I tried really hard. When I was a housekeeper here at Chancellor Health Care I would watch how some people took care of the residents and it hurt my heart. So my friend talked me into becoming a caregiver. And I love it, it's hard mentally and physically but I know someone has to do it and I would rather it be someone who actually cares about the people they're taking care of, not just getting the job done.
