Caregiving has been my calling and career for the past thirly years. I have worked in a variety of health care settings. However, homecare has been mostly my focus. I enjoy assisting clients to remain in the comfort of their homes. I am a self starter, diligent, attentive and compassionate caregivers. Turning or moving patients. Gathering medical supplies. Bathing patients. Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc. Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake. Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate. Answering patient calls.

I enjoy caring for people, I have been caring for people in all stages of ageing and health. I first work in hospitals and didn't get to spend as much time getting know my client's and felt like something was missing so I started working in group homes and long-term care facilities. Now I have a small family of my own that is getting old enough that I am not need as much and can start caring for others that may need some extra help.

I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need.
