After being in the veterinary field for 20 years, I've gained a level of comfortability with all things clinical and medical. I adore the elderly and have experience with Alzheimer patients and those with dementia. I'm a natral born caregiver..I have held many positions ,as my career had changed to meet the needs of my growing family. I have 4 children. Three are adulting on thier own and in college.I still have one little at home. My cpr & first aide certificate is valid & medication certified. I had worked as a theraputic foster parent., a parent aide, and currently work part time as an adult mentor/ life coach.. My background provides me with bed mobility, transfers, and gait training, in addition to proficiency in exercise programs. I've enjoyed working with the elderly with Intercity Home Care for 11 years; I had good experiences working with all stages of the Developmentally Disabled with Cooperative for Human Services, and in the Mental Health field, at a group home with MHA for 11 years. I'm patient and organized and can get along with everyone. I'm honest, trustworthy, and respectful. I enjoy helping others, if I can.

I first started caregiving when I was 17. My first job was for glorias helping hands. At first i wasnt sure about how i felt about the type of work. I didnt have much experience as to what i was doing. I took some classes and got my rcs1 and crma first. Rcs1 is a residential care specialist and a CRMA is a certified residential medical assistant. As i learned more and worked more I realized that is was my passion to help others who may need some assistance in things they can no longer do. Honestly u really do have to have a passion for this type of work because u never know what could happen or what situation u may end up in. And some of the disabilities, and some health issues can be challenging. Ive been very lucky to continue and have worked and learned various disabilities, as well as illnesses. Today i have my rcs1, pss,cna, and also insulin certified, cpr certified, and first aid certified. I love knowing that I'm making a difference and im helping and am there for someone who needs some support and help in their life.
