I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

I have been a caregiver 40 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. Looking primarily for day shift or overnight.

I became a caregiver in 1992 in order to enter a field that I loved and that I could also help others in at the same time. The best part of the job is engaging with different people and hearing of their varying stories about life. There is so much to learn from them.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. Am a hardworking girl who enjoys her job as a caregiver. I have 7 years experience.

I think of myself as a kind-hearted and empathetic person. I always offer words of encouragement and comfort to my residents. I want a career that puts a smile on peoples face when I help them do even the littlest of things like helping with their daily routine or even having a conversation or giving them compliments . For me being a caregiver over the years has helped me improve in being able to address and resolve issues quickly and effectively to ensure my residents health and safety is not compromised.

I think I would be a good caregiver because I studied for taking care of elders and I'm very compassionate. It attracts me because I'm able to take care of someone else who's in need of it. I get to help others and make them feel good and myself.

I am a very intelligent, competent, motivated person. I am a former Licensed Practical Nurse and NREMT. I have worked in the Medical field for more that 25 years. I am a caring and compassionate person that always try to empathize with people I interact with. I have worked in many different jobs in the medical field. I joined the Army as a Combat Medic, because it was the only job that was offered to me, as a Combat Medic I had to take the National Register Emergency Medical Technican (NREMT) class and hold the the NREMT registration as long as I was in the Army. I was great as a Comabat Medic/NREMT, I loved it. I applied for the US Army Licensed Practical Nursing program, while I was deployed overseas. I decided that one deployment was enough, I did not want to deploy again. My personal achievement that I'm most proud of is, I have three adult kids that are all doing well, and I have been married for over 26 years.

I'm very patient and listens to the client needs and provide assistance. I became a caregiver when my mom became sick and I wanted to be there for her. I became good with her care that a stranger pulled me to the side and offered me a job to care for her husband at home. I am Certified Personal Care Giver and have Certificate in Nursing Assistant. In addition, I have training as Personal Safety Assistant at INOVA Fairoaks, Virginia working in ICU and ER sitting with suicidal and dementia patients.
