Hello! Thank you for considering me as your care giver. I've been a caregiver since I was 16 years old. I always had a dream of helping others in any way I can. My first experience with caregiving was caring for my grandmother who suffered from dementia. I spent time with her, looking through photo books, exchanging stories, going for walks, and I'd help her cook meals, and eat towards the end of her journey. I find this to be the most rewarding job. I put my whole heart into my work. I make sure every person I care for is heard, loved, and receiving the best care possible. I'm a very compassionate person. I have time and patience for each one of my clients. I strive to make each one top priority when I am with them. My mom and grandmother are nurses and I use to go to work with them. Seeing there patience face light up when they got to work was great. Then watch how they took care of each one. It inspired me to make a difference. I love meeting new people. Traveling to different places. Meeting the families. I am a people person. My greatest achievement is finishing college while raising a family and working.

Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. to tell you the truth i was 17 years old and neede a job, there was an add in the paper for cna training(free), and i signed up< i took the class and passed< here i am 35 and still a cna. i feel that is my calling, ive delt with many residents from sych. patients to just elderly patients that needed help with daily activities. i sometimes feel that i can be apart of there life just because im around them and there situations every day. when i go to work, and hear, "hi,were you been?" it realy makes me feel that i have an impact on there life. thats a good feeling. im a fast learner, very outgoing and love to laugh, and make people laugh around me.

I am a recent graduate with my BS in Biology. I am planning on attending graduate school in roughly 5 years and am looking for a job that is personally rewarding such as helping individuals who can no longer care for themselves. I have experience as both a certified nursing assistant and a personal care assistant. In addition I have experience caring for my ailing grandparents in their last years of life. My course of study included anatomy and physiology, immunology and many other medically based courses which uniquely enable me to have a knowledge base in providing care that other may not have.

I am a compassionate and caring individual. I have cared for elderly people in the past including my grandmother who had heart failure and my Father who battled cancer and passed in 2010. I understand the importance of companionship for everyone but especially for those who are ill or in recovery. I enjoy helping those in need and make it a point to help put a smile on their face as often as possible. As far as my background, For ten years I worked in a group home with individuals with various disabilities. My day consisted of taking them on day trips, dispensing medication, housekeeping, and meal preparation. I also have a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in human services. I would describe myself as energetic, down to earth, reliable and ethical. I treat all individuals with the dignity and respect they deserve.

I became a care giver when I was very young. I was blessed to have and know my great grandparents and grandparents. so as a little girl I began to take care of them because I loved them and because it came very natural to me. I loved the feeling of helping people and making them feel better and knowing that I made a difference. Just to know I helped them to be comfortable whether it was changing a bandage helping with medication making sure they got to a doctors appointment bathing them helping them with their p.a. just talking with them mostly listening (my fav) It never bothered me to sit with someone in their final days I knew they knew they were not alone. I have to say that doing these things are my personal achievements that I have done and want to continue to do. I have a huge heart and a tender touch and a lot of common sense . I'm funny and outgoing and love to bring my personal touch to ones life. I hope to continue to do my best and bring smiles and make everyone I take care of feel safe and secure. I'm a good communicator. I believe that being so makes things so much easier and helpful in everyway. I'm always open to change and to do better. I hope one day to be a recipient of what I have given to others.
