While in College working on my degree, I obtained my CNA certification and worked in a nursing home setting while on breaks. I then accepted an Activities Director Position at an assisted living facility before moving to TX almost 15 years ago. I have focused on working with the elderly ever since. I had been working with an elderly gentleman(74 years old) for over 3 1/2 years with full onset Parkinson's disease and dementia. I had been assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, exercise, bathroom needs, transportation, extra-curricular trips(movies, shopping, bowling, etc etc) and administering medications. I have since worked with 3 other women needing similar care for extended periods of time. I have excellent references and feel my calling has been to work with the elderly. I am open to full and part-time assistance.
