Personality traits/ some expertise that helps me be a great caregiver would be that I'm a very patient person, and that I'm very respectful especially when it comes to my elders (the way I was brought up). The thing that attracted me to caregiving is not only the fact that many women in my family have a cargiving job, but because from a really young age I was wanting to spend time and hangout with my grandmother and her friends learning new things, and taking in alot of their experiences through out life rather than spend time with kids my age or go out and "hang" which honestly didn't bother me one bit, and made me become the person I am today! The thing I enjoy most about caregiving is probably the fact that I get to meet new people and be a companion for them and get to help them in anyway they need which is just a great feeling itself! A personal achievement I'm proud of would be that I got my ged straight out of school, even though I was a young mom at the age of 16 I did not let that get in the way of my education. Now I have a little family with 2 amazing kids, wanting to eventually pursue another goal of getting into CNA classes and continuing my career in caregiving!
