I'm interested in becoming a caregiver because I think I'm very qualified for this job. I got into nurse assistants while I was in high school; it started out as a school program just to keep me busy. Now you could say I fell in love with the program. Making me a great candidate to be hired and work for them after I graduate. Which me working hard and determined to be chosen, I was accepted. So now I'm 1 year into my job, as a nurse assistant. When it comes to dealing with caregiving I'm very loving and mindset on making sure that they are satisfied, comfortable, but not only that I make sure they get what they need. Some things I enjoy as a nurse assistants is just getting to know the patients on a personal level. I don't think of them just as a job. I take care of them with love and respect as if they were my family. I would have to call that my favorite part, the patient become more than just patients making it feel like i want to work everyday verse a need. When it comes to achievements I haven't received major awards but the compliments from my patients and coworkers I value that more than an award.

I became a Caregiver after I helped take care of my grandparents before going into hospice. I took care of a few friends family members until they passed away. I am a very caring & loving person willing to help anyone I can. I enjoy taking care of people and making them smile. It makes me feel so good when a resident/ client complements me and tells me how sweet I am & how happy they are that I take such good care of there loved ones. There times in my that make me sad, when I lose a client or resident. I enjoy having a special bond with my client or resident. I feel that the past 5 years working with so many people as be a wonderful experiences and feel that this is my calling. I have worked with clients and residents that are in assistant living, and in there homes until they need to be moved to different environments. I have worked with clients & residents that have started with Alzheimer's and through all stages of Dementia. I enjoy cooking, baking singing, taking for them for rides and doing crafts with clients & residents. I am a loving wife and mother of three and I have 2 dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family & friends. I like camping, boating, taking walks on the beach. I enjoy 5k walking for good causes, and helping people as much as I can.
