I've worked with people for most of my career, helping or teaching in various ways. I enjoy working with and supporting our wiser generation, and the opportunity to build relationships in my work. I would like to have more time to spend with people and that's why I'm changing careers. I have worked with families with children under 3, and now I am interested in providing home-care and assistance. I have served a few seniors in the last year, and they have appreciated my skills, personality and patience. Hello! My name is Edyn and I am originally from Altoona, PA. I am currently in my senior year of nursing school at IUP and will be graduating in December of 2020. I plan to become a Labor and Delivery nurse one day after graduation. I am very dedicated to this field and I believe I have a very warm heart. I am empathetic and can truly advocate for my client's health and well-being. I care for each of my clients as I would want my own family to be treated. I will show both you and your family that I am respectful, trustworthy, and honest. I decided to become a caregiver as I would like to get more of a foot in the door for my nursing career while building a relationship with my client. I am always available as a companion for your loved one and enjoy having different conversations and keeping spirits high. I have completed clinical rotations in Community/Home Health Nursing and feel as though I gained a lot of knowledge throughout the course that I will apply to the caregiver role. I would be more than happy to complete grocery shopping, bathing, and house cleaning for my client as well. I am also educated on many medications and can provide assistance to my client if needed.
