About Jennifer

I became a caregiver at the age of 19 when I went to nurses aid training in Michigan. I was a young mother and as I had hoped to go to nursing school one day, this was an excellent stepping stone to that goal. Fast forward 25 years later and I was still a certified nursing assisant level 2 and I still love my career choice! I have had the privilege of working in a variety of health care facilities at different capacities over my long career. I have worked one on one with clients, full time and I have worked short handed in a nursing home, caring for 20! I am a hard worker no matter the situation and with my experience there is very little I have not seen. I recently was asked why I never went on to obtain a nursing degree. I have actually taken a few credits to that end but, I just did not feel the need to go further. I replied to the question.."the world needs excellent nursing assistants and home health aids too." I truly love what I do. I am pretty outgoing and tend to be a little chatty but I am patient and listen closely because observation is 75% of the job. I am there to keep watch and assist when needed and this can often come non-verbally, especially from someone impaired. I enjoy arts and crafts. I love animals and reading books. I have a small dog I walk often. I do not drink or smoke and prefer to avoid clients who do smoke. I dont drive curently but, I am not opposed to obtaining my drivers license should the need arise. Clients in San Francisco city, preferred. Thank You for reading!

I'm a great caregiver because I love my job and helping people. I was attracted to being a caretaker after taking care of my mother for ten years who had cancer. My favorite part of my job is being a companion. I have often felt like a family member to my clients. A personal achievement that I am always proud of is when my client improves because of my positive attitude and the exercises we do or day trips. I also make an excellent cup of tea.

I've been a caregiver all my life. I grew up with my grandmother since I was a little girl. I have learned to be patient and understanding when caring for my clients. The greatest reward I've experienced being a caregiver is always making my clients satisfied of my service, and they look forward to seeing me again.
