I care for my patients like they were my own family. I enjoy becoming part of your family and helping you to receive the best care possible for your loved one. Going the extra step comes naturally to me, so if you need help cooking dinner or running errands or help to care for the home, I enjoy providing a full service to the families that I work with. My last patient had severe dementia and was considered a very difficult case, yet in the years that I worked with her and her family, she was able to enjoy a fuller life, which included outings for shopping, to get her hair done, family vacations, enjoy time with her great-grandchildren, something that had been impossible prior. I was able to get her use the toilet again and she was able to regain some of her verbal function. This allowed her husband and children to make new memories in her final years. I have over 10 years experience as a caregiver for elderly patients, specializing in dementia and Alzheimer's. I enjoy working one-on-one with clients and their families and take pride in giving compassionate care to my clients while allowing them to receive care in their homes. I have extensive experience in: Assisting with personal care needs (toileting, bathing, mouth care, shampoo and hair care, lifting and transferring, dressing and undressing and ambulation, as well as with modified ambulation and non-ambulatory) and selected housekeeping and therapy services. Prepare meals and assist in feeding patient with modifications due to dementia. Assist with basic activities and daily living needs of patients. Measure and record patient's temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered and/or directed by supervisor or personal care plan. Chart and administer medications. I do have reliable transportation and I am able to work days, nights and weekends. I also specialize in respite care. I can be reached at (862) 703-9097
