I have worked as a caregiver for the past 10 years and I have supported many people during this time. It has been and it is still gratifying and rewarding for me to be able to support and provide care for the elderly. A great caregiver is one who provide companionship, maintain a clean home, prepare meals, assist with activity of daily, and follow up with appointments when needed. I became a caregiver because I have compassion and respect for the elderly, and some day someone will also have compassion and be my caregiver. The gratification of being able to assist the elderly or a sick person achieve the ability, even with assistance to complete their daily living makes being a caregiver all worth it. I am a certified nurse assistant, I am CPR and First Aid certified, I am MED certified and a HHA, these are my personal achievements that I am proud of.
