I was certified in 1983,and have over 23 years of experience. I have cared for family members until their passing. Chose this field because I have a passion for elderly. I care for them as if they are my own family, and although I work in other fields I always come back to elderly care. It's a blessing to help there later yrs. To be as rewarding, peaceful and happy as possible. I feel that they deserve that. I have experienced horrible situations that elderly have been subjected to because their families get tired of them and don't have human compassion to understand that they have feelings and have no control over things associated with growing old. It's a pleasure for me to just see them smile or hold their hand and be understanding...it's called compassion and empathy. It's all about integrity...it's an honor to touch people's lives.
