I enjoy assisting seniors live as they were once use too, as a young girl I took care of my grandmother which I believe lead me to this career path in life. To me this is so much more then just a pay check it's a sense of fulfillment knowing you are aiding your client and giving their family members a sense of relief to no their loved ones are being taken care of. I understand this is a hard decision letting a perfect stranger into your/their home but when I enter a clients home wheather it is the 1st time or 50th time I always go in with respect and always say in my head "what type of person would I want in my mother's home or even my home if the roles were reversed ". I've been in the homecare field for 5 years and I truly believe it takes a special type of person to be able to do this work one with empathy, compassion, respect, trust, and patience all skills I no I have. If given the opportunity you will see too.
