I have been a care giver for three years i have alot of experience . i have worked in nursing homes and in homes of clients too by providing home-based care for a wide range of elderly patients in Pittsburgh area. My duties were Assist patients with bathing and other care, Help patients with physical activities, bathing and showering, including bed-baths, applying lotions and creams as required, dressing and getting ready for bed. Serves meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and may assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus. Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar and encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs to develop friendships with other residents. Life as a care giver is fun and entertaining. Getting up to go to work is much easier when you know that what you do has a positive impact on the community. It gives you the opportunity to meet a wide variety of older people and make a tremendous difference in their quality of life.
